Welcome to Melbourne Kannada Sangha

Welcome to Melbourne Kannada Sangha, a sangha formed by all kannadigas in Melbourne, which brings all kannadigas together to keep our culture and language alive throughout our people and the place. It has been 23 years since the formation of this community and has been ever growing with more members and families dedicating to its success. We as a big family get-together on many occassions celebrate all our major festivals together every year, play games, watch movies and have fun together. Welcome aboard again, browse through the site to know more about us and what we do, and feel free to send n your suggestions/comments to us of how we can serve you and the community better.

Bhavageethe classes @ MKS

Melbourne Kannada Sangha organised free Bhavageethe & Bhakthigeethe classes for children every alternate Sunday for 4 months starting from 18th April 2010. Smt Aruna, who has been learning music from the age of 8 has started teaching music from past 3 years. The classes were conducted at Fregon Hall, Clayton and was a huge success among Melbourne kannadigas.

Melbourne Kannada Sangha thanks Mrs Aruna for her time, effort and interest to teach music to Melbourne kannadigas.

Membership – 2010 – 2011

Please renew your membership for 2010 - 2011 at the AGM.

Family membership fee is $20 and is for financial year – 4 July to 30 June.

Members’ entitlements include – provision to attend AGM and elect EC; to be on EC and discounted entry fees for Kannada Sangha functions.

Light Refreshments:

Free Coffee/Tea and biscuits will be served.
